Privacy & Terms

• Your account email and password (the password is stored encrypted, never in plain text).
• Profile details you type in: first name, age, short bio, dance styles and levels, prompt answers.
• Photos you upload (up to three).
• Your home city and, if you turn on travel mode, the city you're visiting and your dates.
• Activity inside the app: likes and passes, matches, chat messages, and any reports or blocks you file.

We do not track your precise GPS location, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.

We use a product analytics tool (PostHog) to understand how people use the app — things like which screens get used and how often people match — so we can improve it. This is not advertising and your data is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Everything above exists to do one thing: show you dancers who are in the same city as you, dance the styles you dance, and can meet up while you're both around. Your city and travel dates power the discovery deck. Photos and prompts help people decide whether to say yes. Reports and blocks keep the community safe.

Other signed-in dancers can see your profile: name, age, photos, bio, styles, levels, prompts and the city you're in. Your email address is never shown to other users. Chat messages are visible only to the two people in that match.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Reports are kept while we look into them, so we can act on repeat behaviour.

Open Profile in the app and use Delete my account at the bottom of the page. There's a confirmation step, and once you confirm it is permanent: your profile, photos, likes, matches, messages and login are removed straight away and cannot be restored.

• You must be 18 or older.
• Be yourself: real photos, real name, real dance level.
• No harassment, hate, threats, nudity or spam. Report anything that crosses the line.
• Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your gut.
• Clave does not verify identity or dance skill, and we can suspend accounts that are reported for unsafe behaviour.
• The app is offered as-is during the beta, and things may change or break.
